GREAT BRITAIN

Great Britain is the designation for the royal union between England, Scotland and Wales. With the most extensive area is England. The kingdom is created under the Union Act in 1707 with the aim of creating a single kingdom consisting of all island of Great Britain. The Kingdom has a single parliament and government based in Westminster, London. Both parts of the former empire have the same monarch since King James VI of Scotland became King James I of England in 1603. The kingdom was later replaced by the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland in 1801 when the Royal Irish incorporated with the enactment of the Law Union of 1801.
